The Bloody Bible Team

  • Dr Caroline Blyth

Caz has always been fascinated by murder … maybe a little too fascinated. She’s obsessed with reading and writing about crime (true and fictional), so the Bloody Bible podcast gives her the perfect excuse to apply this obsession to her work as a biblical scholar. When she’s not thinking about murder, Caz works with the Shiloh Project to explore the complex relationships between rape culture, religion, and the Bible.

  • Dr Emily Colgan

Emily is a giant scaredy-cat with an overactive imagination who is also obsessed with true crime. It's a tricky combo, but here we are. Emily's regular day job is as a lecturer in Biblical Studies, so the Bloody Bible podcast is a great way to indulge in true crime and call it 'research.' When she is not busy 'researching,' Emily is also interested in ecological interpretations of biblical texts and how these shape our response to the climate crisis.

  • Richard (not a Dr yet, but believe me I'm trying) Bonifant

Richard is currently studying towards a PhD at the University of Auckland in the Psychology of Religion. He’s a full time Dad, part time lecturer, and producer of multiple podcasts. His hobbies include sleeping and being an Anglican Priest in the Diocese of Auckland.
